Installation advice

Keep the diagnostic adapter accessible if at all possible. Insulate the ducting if possible, as it will prevent a lot of heat loss.

Fuel lines should be installed on a continuous rise and as straight as possible from the tank to the pump - this helps avoid the majority of fuel system issues. Make sure that the fuel line adaptor clamps are fully tightened.

Do NOT use auxiliary adapters with poor rubber hose adapters that leak air. The pump will not prime appropriately as it pulls too much air.

Do NOT use reducers that have a wider ID. The pump will not prime properly.

Auxiliary port does not go all the way down to the fuel tank (the auxiliary fuel line feature that will not go below 1/4 tank) – no fuel = fuel pump or fuel supply error. Usually results in airlocks that prevent a proper fuel-to-air ratio.
